Meet Co Founder Catherine, the woman who built this range from scratch

Catherine Fox founded Super Health Essentials after her own DEXA scan came back showing osteopenia. She couldn't find a single supplement with everything she needed at the right doses. So she made one herself, right here in Ireland.

Can I take Super Health Essentials with my medication?

 

In almost all cases, yes. Kate Kennedy, our pharmacist in Thurles, has stocked the range for years and her words are that they are food supplements and they fit safely into most daily routines.

Nothing in the range is designed to replace anything you are already on. They are made to sit alongside it.

Which product should I start with?

 

Start with whatever is bothering you most right now.

  • Aches, stiffness or sore joints: Joint Essentials
  • Tiredness, foggy head or low energy: Brain & Body Essentials

Most people start with one or two and add another later. If you are stuck, ring me and we will work it out together.

Should I take 1 scoop or 2?

 

One scoop a day is the standard amount and it is what every formula is built around.

If you want to take two you can. Some people do a couple of weeks on two scoops to load up at the start, and with Joint Essentials, if you are having a particularly stiff spell, two is grand.

It can go the other way as well. Our blends are full spectrum with a lot of ingredients in them, so the very odd person finds it a bit much on the stomach at first. If that is you, start with a teaspoon and build up slowly until your body gets used to all the nutrients. There is no rush.

How long until I notice a difference?

 

It depends on which one you are taking and what you are hoping to feel. With Brain & Body, Magnesium and Heart Essentials, people usually tell us they feel something in the first few weeks.

Joint Essentials is a slower one and that is honestly the truth of it. We suggest the 3 month bundle because it works best as a daily habit rather than a quick fix. That is why the plan is built around 90 days.

If you are not feeling a big change early on, please do not worry. There is a lot going in every single day. The collagen, the glucosamine, the MSM, the chondroitin, the boron and the manganese. That is the kind of thing worth staying consistent with as you get older, whether you feel it straight away or not.

Do the supplements help with menopause?

 

Menopausal and perimenopausal women are one of our biggest groups of customers, and they are the ones who tell us the most.

  • Brain & Body Essentials for the brain fog. This is the one that comes up again and again. 38 actives in the one scoop including the amino acids, the digestive enzymes and the probiotics.
  • Joint Essentials for your bones. Women can lose over 20% of their bone density after the menopause, so this is the stage that matters most. What if I have a mild reaction when I start?

 

This is rare, and when it does happen it is usually because there is a lot going into your body at once compared to what you were taking before.

Two things usually sort it.

  • Take it with food, ideally something with a bit of fat in it
  • Start slow, half a scoop for the first week, then build up. By the second week most people are grand

If it carries on past two weeks, stop and give me a ring. I would rather know.

Can I take Turmeric & Milk Thistle with my medication?

 

Turmeric has a mild blood thinning effect and Milk Thistle can affect how the liver processes certain medicines, so this is the one product in the range I would want a quick word with you about first. Ring me on 086 811 4223.

It is also why we deliberately left black pepper out of our Turmeric & Milk Thistle. Piperine, the active in black pepper, can interfere with how the liver handles medication, and we did not want that in there.

Can I cancel my membership?

 

Yes, easily, any time, no fees and no awkward phone call. From your account you can pause for as long as you like, skip a delivery, or cancel outright.

One thing worth knowing. If you are on the Joint Essentials membership and you stay on through your fourth delivery, that one arrives with a free tub of Brain & Body Essentials worth €54.95. Cancelling resets it.
